The scientific council was established to run the NMR center and is responsible for reviewing applications for the NMR time and distributing available instrument and computer time among the industrial and academic users.

The scientific council consists of researchers from National Institute of Chemistry, Jozef Stefan Institute, Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Krka, Lek, Sava, Agricultural Institute of Slovenia and the representative from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology.

Current members of the scientific council are: Professor J. Dolinsek (IJS, president), Professor B. Stanovnik (FCCT), Professor V. Kaucic (NIC), Professor R. Jerala (NIC), Professor D. Kikelj (FP), Dr. R. Zupet (Krka), Dr. B. Mitrovic (Lek), Dr. Z. Susteric (Sava), Dr. M. Kocjancic (AIS) and Dr. S. Golic-Grdadolnik (MHEST).
